Great Books for Kids

Here is a list of our family’s favorite children’s books.

Storytime in our house is one of my favorite times of the day. Most of our books have been read too many times to count. They are battered, torn, taped back together… you name it.

Our copy of “Goodnight Gorilla” is so worn it looks like the gorilla escaped one night and had it for a snack.

There are countless reasons why reading to your children is so important. To read a post I wrote about storytime with my kids when the kids were brand new, click on “Turn the Page.”

I am always on the lookout for new stories to add to our collection. I’d love it if you left a comment with book titles you’ve enjoyed, and I’ll add them in!

There are so many good reads for young children, and this list is just a starter.  Please take your kids to the bookstore or shop on line, but read to them!  The more you read to them, the more you will open up their imaginations and the limitless possibilities within the pages.  Your children will thank you now and when they themselves are parents.  This is why www.grammieknows.com is here.  I love my grandchildren and I know you love yours, do everyone a favor and get them some books!

About Grammie O

I am new to affiliate marketing and would like to make the site www.grammieknows.com much more user friendly and interactive. I'm hoping that Word Press will be the answer I'm looking for. I like to think that my grandchildren will have the best opportunities to learn and have fun that are available through the internet and would like to make those opportunities available to all children of all ages.

What a lovely list! So much nostalgia right now… Kids these days are way too technologically advanced they seem to forget about good old hard-bound classics.
Corduroy was my favourite childhood book, I’ve loved it ever since! I even named my first Beanie Kid after him, the movie was also just gorgeous!
